We are seeking a visionary and strategic Director to lead the sales and delivery of comprehensive AI and data solutions from advisory through to program delivery leadership. As a senior member of our practice, you will engage with C-suite executives to advise on value driven Data & AI strategy, leading the development of intelligent data platforms and agentic AI solutions and overseeing transformation initiatives that deliver measurable business value. You will also play a pivotal role in business development, practice leadership, and building world-class teams.

What will your typical day look like?

Client Advisory and Solution Design

Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including C-suite executives, to effectively communicate the value of Data & AI initiatives, provide insights on the art of the possible and drive alignment with strategic priorities.

Develop ELT presentations and board papers that articulate complex insights in a clear and compelling manner, guiding senior client leadership in decision making.

Shape comprehensive AI transformation journeys spanning predictive analytics, generative AI, and autonomous agentic systems

Design integrated solutions that combine strategy, use case delivery, emerging AI technologies, and operational excellence

Guide clients through responsible Data & AI governance frameworks and ethical implementation practices

Sales and Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities across key industries (financial services, retail, healthcare, government, manufacturing)

Lead complex, multi-million dollar sales cycles from opportunity identification through commercial negotiation and close

Build and maintain executive relationships, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor on AI and data transformation

Develop compelling value propositions that demonstrate ROI from Data & AI investments, including agentic AI implementations

Delivery and Execution

Oversee successful delivery of large-scale AI and data transformation projects, ensuring quality, timeline, and budget adherence

Lead multidisciplinary teams across data science, AI engineering, agentic AI development, and change management

Leverage Deloitte Gen AI platforms and Agentic assets to deliver highly efficient services guiding our clients through low risk, highly productive workflows to achieve the desired outcome.

Leverage our global delivery centres and AI Centres of Excellence to delivery high impact, innovative solutions for our clients

Support clients in establishing operating models for sustained AI value creation

Drive adoption of agentic AI solutions that can autonomously execute business processes and decision-making

Practice and Capability Leadership

Build and scale a high-performing AI and data advisory team with diverse, cutting-edge capabilities

Contribute to thought leadership and innovation in AI, data strategy, and agentic A automation

Mentor and develop emerging leaders and specialists across the practice

Stay at the forefront of AI developments including large language models, multimodal AI, and agentic frameworks

Our AI & Data practice is a diverse group of over 500 specialists across Australia, partnering with clients in both public and private sectors to deliver transformative solutions. We collaborate with leading technology providers such as AWS, Microsoft, Google, Snowflake, Databricks, and emerging agentic AI platforms, ensuring we remain at the cutting edge of AI innovation and implementation.

Experience & Skills

12+ years' experience in consulting, technology, or industry roles related to AI/ML, data strategy, or digital transformation

Proven track record selling and delivering large-scale AI transformation, data modernisation, or intelligent automation programs ($1M+ engagements)

Deep understanding of AI technologies including predictive models, generative AI, agentic AI frameworks, MLOps, and relevant platforms (e.g., Azure AI, AWS Bedrock, Google AI Platform, Databricks, Snowflake)

Experience with agentic AI systems, autonomous agents, and multi-agent orchestration platforms

Strong business acumen with ability to translate technical AI capabilities into commercial outcomes and competitive advantage

Leadership Qualities

Proven leadership of multidisciplinary teams in consulting or matrixed environments (20+ team members)

Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills

Passion for innovation, emerging AI technologies, and creating measurable client value

Experience building and scaling high-performing technical practices
