We are seeking an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join the Care of Older People in Surgery (COPS) service. This role is ideal for a clinician with substantial post-graduate experience in managing complex respiratory cases, particularly among geriatric and post-surgical patients. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with geriatrics and surgical teams to deliver holistic, timely care to patients aged 75 and over with a frailty score of 3 or higher, aiming to reduce post-operative complications, facilitate early discharge, and improve overall outcomes. A strong background in supervising and educating junior staff and students is essential, along with a commitment to service planning, implementation, and evaluation.

What You Will Bring To The Role

• Degree in Physiotherapy and current National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA.
• Significant post graduate experience in Physiotherapy, with substantial experience in Surgical & Aged Care physiotherapy
• Demonstrated teaching skills and supervision experience with staff and students
• Demonstrated experience in the development of clinical physiotherapy policies and procedures
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills, effective time management skills & ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
• Demonstrated commitment to professional development and knowledge of & experience with Quality Improvement and Evidence Based Practice
• Demonstrated ability to provide advice to service managers on clinical service development, practice and design in response to demands and client stakeholder needs in relation to a Physiotherapy service
