Physiotherapist Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a physiotherapy department in a tertiary hospital, undergoing major redevelopment. The role will work as the Women's and Men's Health senior clinician in outpatients, gynaecology clinics, and antenatal and postnatal wards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality women's and men's health physiotherapy service to both inpatients and outpatients at Liverpool Hospital.
  • Service evaluation and development, using advanced reasoning and practice skills in managing complex women's and men's health patients.
  • Work in specialized multidisciplinary clinics.
  • Supervise, teach and train new graduate and rotational Level 1/2 Physiotherapists.
Requirements
  1. Current Physiotherapy Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  2. Relevant clinical experience including demonstrated advanced practice skills and management of a complex physiotherapy caseload.
  3. Demonstrated experience in supervision and teaching of staff and/or students.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in quality improvement, research and service development activities.
  6. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and skills in the physiotherapy management of: Antenatal and postnatal conditions, Musculoskeletal conditions related to pregnancy, Incontinence, Gynaecological conditions, Acute postnatal management, Acute post-gynaecological surgery.
