Experienced and motivated Chef to join our team at Pino's Vino e Cucina al Mare Cronulla

Our menu uses traditional Italian produce put together with a little panache', it is designed to be shared. Small and large groups celebrate birthdays, homecomings, Christmas parties and corporate functions at our long table, where share plates are passed around and no-one is forgotten.

About the role

You will play an integral role within the kitchen team.

To be the successful candidate you will assume responsibility for the effective, efficient and profitable management of dining at this venue by assisting the Executive Chef in all areas. The Sous Chef will be a 'hands on, experienced, motivated individual, who has passion for food, people and ownership of their role.

· Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to cultivate strong relationships in a team-based environment.

· Ability to plan menus for different cultural/dietary requirements

· Able to work full-time

· Must be fluent in English

Responsibilities:

· Planning and preparing nutritious meals and food items

· Prepare meals to meet the needs of customers with special dietary requirements and allergies

· Order food supplies to meet demands and work within the target budget

· Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks

· Ensure cooking method, portions and recipes are followed

· Hands-on approach to cooking, training and development

· Provide a high level of customer service to all customers and stakeholders

• Assist with Menu development, food preparation, cost control and stocktaking
• Ensuring consistent levels of food service throughout the restaurant

· Maintaining a clean and well-presented kitchen

· Work as a part of a team to create a safe and friendly work environment

· Ensuring all WH&S and food safety standards are met and exceeded

• Assist the Head Chef to Maximise profitable food revenue
• Assist with the management and training of junior staff

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $73,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

• Cronulla, NSW 2230: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Experience:

• Kitchen: 7 years (Preferred)
