Key Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test voice, data, video, and fiber optic cabling systems according to project specifications and standards.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on communication and electrical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
• Diagnose and resolve faults in structured cabling, network hardware, and communication devices.
• Modify or upgrade existing systems to meet new specifications or performance requirements.
• Integrate new technologies into legacy systems while ensuring compatibility and compliance.
• Read and work from technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals to complete installations or repairs.
• Use testing tools (e.g., OTDR, cable certifiers, multimeters) to verify signal integrity and system performance.
• Document and report test results, ensuring installations meet industry and customer standards.
• Adherent to all relevant electrical codes, industry standards, and workplace safety regulations.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure the proper use of PPE and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
• Complete job reports, timesheets, and asset tracking as required.
• Respond to technical service requests from our Project team within agreed Service requirements.
• Resolve Technical issues on-site, in an efficient and professional manner.
• Communicate with customers on the progress of their job.
• Responsible for ensuring safe work practices are always followed to assure the health and safety of oneself or other persons in the company.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and contribute to process improvement.
• Proactively completing PM tasks according to Service and scoping agreement.
• Scoping and field evaluation as required for Proposal Opportunities for clients new and existing.
• Commercial cabling and hardware installation.
• Project files and coordinating with technical operations manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Ability to understand information accurately and to thus focus/ prioritize the teams request appropriately.
• Strong technical knowledge, interpersonal/negotiation skills, as well as time management, ability to direct and support as appropriate.
• Strong server knowledge and remote diagnostic experience
• Ability to identify potential issues/complaints and escalate as appropriate to your point of contact at 1Solution
• Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively alone and without direct supervision.
• Prepare reports, documentation, and contribute to process improvements
• Alarm and intercom Installations (as per Licensing requirements)
• Electrical or Electronics Trades Certificate or Degree
• Understanding of computers and assigned software.
• MATV installation
• Working at Heights
• Electrical license
• Maintain service tools and equipment and provide accurate compliance of all field service administration and reporting requirements.
• Ability to communicate with managers and project teams are required for professional service delivery
• Scoping and field evaluation as required for Proposal Opportunities for clients new and existing
• Network installations, including server racks and data point
