Security Officers – Events and Ranger Services

Secure Events & Assets (SEAA) is seeking friendly, proactive Rangers to work across the stunning Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan, and Blue Mountains Botanic Garden Mount Tomah.
As a Ranger, you'll be the welcoming face of the Gardens — keeping our sites safe, supporting visitors, responding to incidents, and protecting some of Australia's most iconic public spaces.
What You'll Be Doing
- Patrolling the gardens on foot or by vehicle to ensure public safety and site security
- Assisting visitors with directions, information and general enquiries
- Responding calmly and professionally to first aid or emergency situations
- Enforcing garden regulations through education and respectful communication
- Reporting hazards, incidents or maintenance issues
- Supporting public and private events, including traffic and crowd management
What We're Looking For
- A natural people-person with excellent communication and customer service skills
- Confident and composed when dealing with the public or managing conflict
- Reliable, physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all conditions
- Able to follow procedures and complete accurate reports
Required Licences & Certifications:
- NSW Security Licence (1A)
- NSW Driver's Licence (Full)
- First Aid (HLTAID011 Provide First Aid)
- RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol)
- Traffic Control credentials (Traffic Controller / Implement Traffic Control Plans)
Experience in security, ranger duties, emergency response or public-facing roles will be highly regarded.
