Maksisi Lawyers is a boutique law firm located in the heart of Sydney CBD, specialising in a variety of areas such as civil and commercial litigation, family law, and employment law. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional legal services with a personalised touch.

Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Lawyer to join our dynamic team full-time. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with our Principal Solicitor and a dedicated team, gaining exposure to a variety of legal matters.

Criteria

  • Experience: Ideally, 3-5 years PAE, however, we welcome applications from all candidates who believe they are well-suited for the role.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to engage confidently with clients and counsel.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in handling legal documents and case details.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Leap Proficiency: Familiarity with Leap legal software (desirable, however not mandatory).
  • Writing Skills: Excellent grammar and clear, concise writing.
  • Communication: Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Court Appearances: Represent clients in court proceedings.
  • Drafting Documents: Prepare correspondence, legal documents, and briefs to counsel.
  • Client Meetings: Conduct client consultations to provide legal advice and updates.
  • Case Management: Manage and run your own legal matters.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Principal Solicitor and other team members on various cases.
