About the Role

This 2-year secondment is open to current Suncorp employees with significant procurement experience. You'll lead a high-performing team across procurement and accounts payable, driving compliance, optimisation, and strategic value. Reporting to the EM Procurement Governance, Operations & Payables, you'll contribute to group-wide procurement transformation and ESG commitments.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development and implementation of procurement frameworks, governance, and controls to ensure compliance and optimisation.
  • Oversee accounts payable operations across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and service excellence.
  • Drive procurement benefit frameworks and automated reporting to deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and risk teams to maintain a robust control environment.
  • Champion ethical and sustainable procurement aligned with Suncorp's ESG goals.
  • Manage offshore service delivery, including vendor relationships, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Extensive procurement experience (7+ years) across multiple sectors, with strong commercial acumen.
  • Proven leadership (5+ years), including managing offshore teams and complex stakeholder environments.
  • Deep understanding of procurement policy, benefit frameworks, and compliance standards.
  • Advanced skills in contract and supply chain management, risk and regulatory frameworks, and change leadership.
  • Ability to influence, educate, and collaborate across diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management methodologies and regulatory frameworks, with experience applying them in a first line of defence (1LOD) environment.
