**Overview of the role**

This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional to deliver procurement category management across Suncorp, focusing on Real Estate Services (Capital works, Facilities Management, Leasing, Utilities and Physical services) and where required, other categories within the Corporate Procurement team.

You will need resilience and strong communication skills with the ability to hold tough conversations, in return you will work within a great team environment providing you with support and plenty of growth opportunities.

**What you’ll do**:

- Develop and implement category plans, sourcing strategies and/or negotiation strategies
- Manage a category of existing suppliers and contracts including analysis of existing contracts and current spend
- Planning for a pipeline of contract renewal activity
- Ensuring contract renewals are competitive, delivered through an appropriate supply model and well scoped
- Manage supplier performance including SLA’s governance and other contract deliverables
- Execute extensions, variations and terminations of legal instruments that meet stakeholders’ business needs
- Identify initiatives that derive benefits, through sourcing, demand management and/or contract management opportunities
- Prioritise initiatives according to business criticality, capacity requirements, inter-dependencies and potential benefits

**What you’ll bring**:

- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in procurement and category management within a medium to large, complex organisation
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and resilience, with the ability to hold tough conversations are essential
- Experience with capital works, facilities management, and other real estate categories would be beneficial
- Familiar with the Australian Standard agreements for capital works highly regarded
- Experience in a centralised procurement/commercial environment providing services to a broad customer base
- Experienced in achieving and being accountable for tangible commercial results
- Ability to work with agility in a changing environment
