Position Purpose

The Middle Office Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and compliant processing of investment transactions and instructions across Clime's investment products and services. Acting as the central link between the front office, back office, platform providers, and product suppliers, this role safeguards Clime's operational integrity through investment execution, validation, compliance, and issue resolution. With sound judgment and a strong understanding of investment operations, this role is expected to escalate complex matters appropriately, contribute to the enhancement of operational processes, and help drive for greater efficiency across all operation functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the dealing desk by monitoring trades against client mandates, investment guidelines, regulatory constraints, and escalating breaches where required.
  • Reconcile trade positions, cash movements, and holdings between internal records, custodians, and counterparties to ensure data accuracy.
  • Complete back office and registry functions for Clime's self-administered institutional products and services, ensuring accuracy and data integrity.
  • Act as a central point of contact between portfolio managers, advisers, external vendors and platform providers to resolve operational queries.
  • Assist the product manager with fund and product reporting as required.
  • Identify operational inefficiencies and contribute to process enhancement initiatives to strengthen controls and improve turnaround times.
  • Maintain knowledge of Clime's products, asset classes, and market developments to better support trading and portfolio management functions.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline (preferred)
  • 3-5 years' experience in dealing support or investment operations
  • Knowledgeable in equities, fixed income, private credit and derivatives.
  • Prior system experience with IRESS IOS+, IRESS IPS, Investment Platforms (Netwealth, Praemium, etc), and Titanium Solutions will be highly regarded.
  • Strong organisational and analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively across departments and external counterparties.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft excel and Office 365.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and robust operational controls.
