The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Field Service Technician (Heavy Vehicle Mobile Plant Mechanic) to join the team at our various harvest sites in Oberon and the Central West.

Assisting the workshop manager, the purpose of the role is to carry out maintenance and repairs on harvesting equipment.

The role plays an integral part in ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency are given to Mangan and our customers.

If successful, you will be given the opportunity to become part of a family owned and operated business which employs over 70 people, and has been harvesting, forwarding and hauling sustainable softwood plantations for more than 50 years. Mangan Logging have a reputation for being a leader in the logging and haulage industry in the Central West and take pride in providing secure employment in a safe and supportive organization.

Roster:Monday to Friday 6:00am to 5:00pm

Role Located: Oberon NSW

Mangan Logging can provide you with:

  • Career:On the job training with latest technology Harvesting and extraction equipment, possibility to complete another trade within the scope of the business, working outside in the forest away from the hustle of busy life
  • Vehicle:Your own fully equipped service vehicle (approved for personal use within reason)
  • Above award wages: Negotiable on experience
  • Minimum Hours: Minimum 10 hours per day 5 days a week

Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • HR classification driver's licence an advantage
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Forklift licence would be highly regarded
