We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the safe, efficient, and effective distribution of pharmaceuticals across wards and departments. Reporting to the Director of Pharmacy, this role involves assisting with dispensing prescriptions, preparing sterile and non-sterile products, managing resuscitation trays, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will also support ward stock management, perform clerical duties, and contribute to weekend and public holiday rosters. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork and patient care are essential.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Successfully completed a qualification in a relevant field recognised by the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia or up to the level of Certificate III issued by a Registered Training Organisation in Hospital and community Pharmacy (eg Charles Sturt University) or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent or successfully completed a nationally recognised Pharmacy Technician Certificate Course at Certificate Level IV or has qualifications deemed by the Health Administration Corporation to be equivalent.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work in a busy environment and possess good time management skills.
  3. Demonstrated ability to integrate well with the other staff working as part of the team.
  4. Demonstrated good attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
  5. Possess excellent interpersonal communication skills.
  6. Previous Australian Hospital Pharmacy experience preferred.
