Production Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Production Engineer to play a key role in our Production team, contributing across the full spectrum of our production operations. Success in this role comes from a strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, define, and document best-practice production processes to build a world-class manufacturing facility.
• Capture, analyse, and act on production data to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Source, commission, and maintain production equipment, including creating and managing maintenance records.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of production equipment, including operation, programming, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Develop and deliver training materials to upskill production teams.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by providing engineering expertise and guidance.
• Resolve technical production issues and review corrective actions implemented by the production team.
• Generate and manage internal records (NCR/SR/CR registers), perform investigations, and implement corrective and preventative actions.
• Develop and implement tools and capabilities to optimise production performance.
• Engage with industry practices to ensure IntelliDesign remains at the leading edge.
• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with assets, systems, and processes.
• Report on production KPIs to the Production Engineering Lead.

What we are looking for

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, or related field).
• Proven experience in electronics manufacturing or high-tech production environments.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and implement effective corrective and preventative actions.
• Experience in training, mentoring, and upskilling production teams.
• Competence in data analysis and KPI reporting to drive operational improvements.
• Strong problem-solving, organisational, and project management skills.
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication skills to work across multidisciplinary teams.
