About the Role

Based at our extensive manufacturing facility in Laverton, you'll work alongside a team who are hardworking and safety focused, where you'll work 12-hour shifts, rotating over days and nights.

Roster rotates over a three week cycle, where you will average 40hrs per week.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and resourceful Industrial 'A' Grade Electrician to work across both our Tissue Mill and Converting Plant. This is a full-time position where you can utilise your experience in electrical maintenance, problem solving, and continuous improvement to contribute to achieving targeted outcomes for the business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting work in a safe, professional and timely manner
  • Working together with production and maintenance teams to achieve manufacturing objectives
  • Responding to machine or equipment breakdowns in the Tissue Mill and Converting Lines
  • Routine and non-routine electrical maintenance
  • Assist in product changeovers and fine tuning of converting line equipment
  • Project work (capital upgrades, new installations, plant improvements)
  • Engage in safety improvement initiatives
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Provide electrical support via overtime call-outs on weeknights and weekends
  • Ordering materials and parts
  • Provide electrical support to the broader site as required

About You

We are seeking a strong addition to the team who is hard working, motivated and reliable. This person should enjoy working as part of a team but also autonomously.

The ideal applicant will have:

  • A current Victorian 'A' Grade Electrical Licence
  • Experience with PLCs (Siemens STEP 7 & TIA advantageous)
  • Experience with AC/DC Drives and motors
  • Servo & Motion Control Drives and Motors (Siemens Simotion desirable)
  • Proven work history within a process or manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist with mechanical tasks when required
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with analytical thinking and logical decision-making ability
  • Understanding of SCADA and HMIs
  • Experience with machine automation and control
  • Current forklift and elevated work platform (EQP) licence
  • Confined Space and/or Dogging qualification would be advantageous
  • Continuous improvement mindset
