About the role

Based at our extensive manufacturing facility in Laverton, you'll work alongside a team who are hardworking and safety focused, where you'll work 12-hour shifts, rotating over days and nights (Monday-Friday).

We are currently seeking a Production Shift Forklift Driver to work in our Tissue Converting Plant. This is a full-time position where you can utilise your experience in forklift operation, warehouse management, stock management and continuous improvement to achieve better outcomes for the business.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Conducting work in a safe, professional and timely manner
  • Working together with production and maintenance teams to achieve Converting Plant objectives
  • Operate machinery when trained or under supervision
  • Operate attachments including but not limited to; Reel grab (large and small), triple tine etc
  • Ensure raw materials are delivered to production line in time for product changeovers
  • Willingness to develop skills on a small number of production machines
  • Report equipment breakdowns in a timely manner
  • Monitor production process to ensure finished goods are of high-quality standard
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards
  • Engage in safety improvement initiatives
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities

About you

The ideal applicant will have:

  • Previous experience in similar roles working days and nights on a rotating shift pattern
  • Good troubleshooting skills
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Proven work history within a process environment
  • Experience with specialty forklift attachments
  • Able to accurately follow written procedures and verbal instructions
  • Ability to accurately record manufacturing and quality data
  • Continuous improvement mindset
  • Forklift and driver's license
