HV Site Manager Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
Project & Site Management
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise HV electrical construction activities on-site.
- Manage electricians, HV technicians, and subcontractors, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
- Liaise with clients, consultants, engineers, and authorities to coordinate project delivery.
- Monitor program milestones and provide progress and cost reporting.
HV Authorised Person Responsibilities
- Act as the nominated HV Authority for isolation, switching, and energisation activities.
- Develop and execute HV switching programs and isolation schedules.

. - Ensure compliance with HV operational safety procedures and maintain accurate switching logs.
Design & Technical Oversight
- Review and provide input into HV design drawings, schematics, and protection studies.
- Coordinate between design engineers and construction teams to resolve technical queries (RFIs).
- Validate constructability of HV designs and recommend design improvements.
- Support the preparation of single line diagrams, cable sizing calculations, and HV equipment specifications.
- Ensure design outputs comply with Australian Standards, statutory requirements, and client specifications.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and as-built verification of HV systems.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Implement strict HV safety systems, including switching safety plans and LOTO procedures.
- Lead site risk assessments, toolbox talks, and energisation readiness reviews.
- Investigate HV incidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with WHS and electrical safety legislation.
Leadership & Training
- Provide leadership and mentorship to site staff, electricians, and apprentices.
- Deliver technical guidance and HV safety awareness training.
- Ensure only competent and authorised personnel carry out HV operations.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate HV records, permits, test reports, and design documents.
- Review and approve as-built documentation and O&M manuals.
- Provide daily, weekly, and project close-out reports.
Qualifications
- Licensed A-Grade Electrician (VIC).
- Experience in high voltage electrical projects and site management
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental regulations in the construction industry
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and lead project teams
- Relevant certifications and qualifications in electrical engineering or a related field
- Experience in the Commercial & Industrial industry is a plus
General Requirements
· EBA rates and allowances apply (RDOs, travel, site allowances, etc.).
· Compliance with all OHS, company, and site-specific policies.
· Willingness to work metro/regional VIC and occasional night shifts/weekends.
· Pre-employment medical, drug & alcohol screening required.
