We are looking for a skilled and motivated Engineer to join our Civil Structures team, contributing to the design of bridges, tunnels, highways, rail and maritime infrastructure. You'll be responsible for performing structural calculations, preparing reports, and supporting drawing production for complex infrastructure projects. This role offers the opportunity to grow your technical capabilities within a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment—supported by industry-leading experts.
The Opportunity
•    Deliver structural analysis and design for bridges and civil infrastructure through all project phases.
•    Produce high-quality technical documentation including reports, specifications, and design deliverables.
•    Work closely with drafting and modelling teams to coordinate outputs and manage digital workflows.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas.
You will have the opportunity do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.
Is this role right for you?
•    A degree in Civil Engineering with relevant structural design experience, ideally in consulting.
•    Familiarity with Australian Standards (e.g. AS5100) and local authority design requirements (e.g. DIT).
•    Proficiency in structural design software such as Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, and experience with 3D modelling tools like Revizto.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and client interaction.
•    A collaborative mindset, enthusiasm for continuous improvement, and a proactive approach to technical and professional development.
