POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a Civil Engineer with at least 4 years of local Australian experience to join our dynamic Civil team in Adelaide. You'll work across a diverse range of markets, including urban development, infrastructure, transport, buildings and industrial projects, contributing to MLEI's continued growth locally and nationally.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior engineers and project managers, developing your technical and project delivery skills while being part of an employee-owned business that values your career progression.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Working within the Civil Team, as a Civil Engineer, you would be expected to:

• Contribute to the delivery of civil engineering projects, including urban development, infrastructure, stormwater management, buildings and general civil works.
• Prepare and review design documentation, drawings, and reports in accordance with Australian standards and local authority requirements.
• Undertake civil design and modelling using software such as AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC and 12d.
• Liaise with clients, councils, and service authorities to support project outcomes.
• Assist senior engineers with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
• Conduct site inspections and support construction phase services as required.
• Participate in quality assurance and safety processes, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across MLEI's offices.

·       Seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in design and project delivery.

POSITION MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.
• Minimum 4 years' experience in civil engineering within Australia.
• Demonstrated experience delivering civil design for urban development, infrastructure or buildings projects with a key understanding of stormwater drainage design.
• Working knowledge of Australian Standards and local government requirements.
• Competency in AutoCAD, DRAINS, MUSIC with an understanding of 12d.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to manage time, priorities, and project deadlines efficiently.
• A proactive, team-oriented mindset and a desire to continue developing professionally.
• Progressing towards, or interest in pursuing, Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status will be highly regarded.
