About the Role

As a Lead/Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in leading the technical delivery of structural lead projects from concept through to construction. You will engage directly with clients and project stakeholders to develop innovative and practical design outcomes, supported by a collaborative and experienced local team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading structural design and documentation across multiple concurrent buildings projects.
  • Managing coordination with architects, builders, and other disciplines.
  • Maintaining high quality engineering deliverables and achieving timeframes
  • Providing design leadership, technical review, and quality assurance.
  • Building and maintaining trusted relationships with clients and project partners.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior engineers and drafters within the team.

About You

You are a technically proficient and relationship-driven engineer who thrives in a collaborative environment and takes pride in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

You will bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Chartered or RPEQ).
  • Minimum 8 years' structural design experience within the buildings sector.
  • Proven track record in project delivery and client-facing roles.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis software including SpaceGass, ETABS, Inducta, RAPT, and RAM Concept.
  • Strong understanding of lateral stability design of large buildings, including earthquake requirements and wind loading
  • Strong understanding of Australian Standards and NCC requirements.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to develop project scope of works and proposals
  • Some exposure to industrial projects will also be advantageous
  • Demonstrated experience leading project teams
