About the role

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an experienced Bookkeeper to join the team at H.U. Partners', based in Wayville, SA. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting operations for a portfolio of small-to-medium sized businesses, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

What you'll be doing

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
  • Preparing and processing payroll, including calculating tax and superannuation contributions
  • Generating and analysing financial statements, such as profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports
  • Providing advice and support to clients on bookkeeping best practices and tax compliance
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, such as accountants, auditors, and tax authorities
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of bookkeeping processes and procedures

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within a public practice or small-to-medium enterprise environment
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software, such as MYOB and Xero, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and client service skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices
