About the role

We're looking for a Software Engineer to support the development and uplift of Suncorp's Identity Platform. You'll contribute to secure authentication services that enable seamless access across our digital channels. This is a backend-focused role with exposure to cloud, DevOps, and enterprise identity tools.

This role is paying between $100,000-110,000 including super.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain backend APIs using Java and Spring Boot to support secure identity services.
  • Deploy and manage applications on OpenShift (Kubernetes), ensuring resilience and compliance.
  • Automate infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Ansible for efficient delivery.
  • Integrate cloud-native applications with AWS services like S3, IAM, and Secrets Manager.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to uplift platform performance, security, and observability.
  • Support enterprise identity solutions using Ping Identity and ForgeRock, contributing to platform stability.

What you'll bring 

  • 2+ years of experience in backend or full-stack software engineering, ideally in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, Spring Security, and Hibernate.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins), scripting (Python, Groovy, Shell), and SQL/Oracle databases.
  • Exposure to container orchestration (OpenShift/Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS).
  • Understanding of identity protocols (OAuth2, JWT) and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to investigate and resolve complex technical issues independently and collaboratively.
