StraightUp is looking for an experienced Data Architect to join a large critical infrastructure client on one of the biggest transformation programs in Australia currently. This is an initial 24 month contract with further scope available.

Desired experience****

  • Experience designing solutions in a Cloud (AWS) environment
  • Strongly desired - Experience designing solutions utilizing Databricks, Datalake, MS Power BI
  • Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts
  • Exposure to Data Vault 2.0 modelling methodology is valued
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to present to non-technical audiences, perform effective option analysis

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into data architecture solutions
  • Design and develop scalable, robust, and efficient data models that meet the needs of our organization
  • Define data standards, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency, integrity, and security across all data assets
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies and tools to support data architecture goals
  • Work closely with data engineers and developers to implement and maintain data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integrations
