About the Role
As the Fundraising Data Insights & Analytics Specialist, your mission is to enhance the performance of RSPCA Queensland's fundraising program. You'll manage and analyse data to inform strategy, deliver actionable insights, and support campaigns across Regular Giving, Appeals, Major Gifts, and Gifts in Wills. Your work will directly influence how we engage supporters and raise funds to help animals in need.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Management & Integrity:
Maintain and improve the quality and consistency of data across systems
Implement segmentation and integrity processes
Confidently source and merge datasets from multiple systems
Insights & Analytics:
Analyse donor and campaign data across fundraising programs
Translate data into actionable insights to improve performance
Identify trends and opportunities to grow donor engagement and giving
Reporting & Visualisation:
Create and maintain dashboards and reports (e.g. Power BI)
Present complex information in accessible, stakeholder-friendly formats
Collaboration & Strategic Support:
Partner with fundraising teams to inform strategy and campaigns
Support budgeting, forecasting, and business cases with data insights
Promote a culture of evidence-based decision making
Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
Stay updated on data analytics and fundraising best practices
Recommend and implement improvements to reporting processes
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Marketing, or related field
Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, ideally in fundraising or customer-focused environments
Proficient in CRM systems (e.g. Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and segmentation
Experienced with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
Skilled in SQL, Python, or R for data exploration and insight building
Skills & Attributes:
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication and storytelling skills with data
High attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
A genuine interest in animal welfare and alignment with RSPCA's mission
Ability to perform physical duties, including lifting up to 10kg
