This Queensland Government department plays a key role in delivering financial services and system-level support across the public sector. The team is values-driven, collaborative, and committed to service excellence.

Your new role

  • Provide centralised systems processing services using Queensland Government's integrated finance system (S/4HANA).
  • Manage shared inboxes and respond to internal and external client enquiries.
  • Support payment processing activities including remittance distribution and contact updates.
  • Lodge business partner creation and change requests.
  • Assist clients with system-related queries, particularly in the Payments and Master Data teams.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks.
  • Collaborate with team members to identify and improve processes.
  • Support senior officers with additional tasks as required.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Must have experience using large financial systems SAP S/4HANA or similar.
  • Understanding of financial management policies and procedures.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent customer service skills as this role will involve phone call verification at times
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
  • A relevant qualification is desirable but not essential.

  • Inner-north Brisbane location
  • Assignment from until , with potential to extend
  • Monday to Friday (full-time hours)
  • WFH offered two days per week once settled, at management's discretion.
  • Please note: This department will close for one week over the Christmas period.
