About the Role

We are looking for a motivated Project Engineer / Junior Project Manager with a civil engineering background, strong understanding of NCC (National Construction Code), and experience in contract administration.

This position involves both site and office-based management, combining technical coordination, project delivery, and company operations.

You will work closely with the company director and lead a small team to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with Australian standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day site operations, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Prepare and review technical documents, reports, and work method statements.
  • Manage contracts, review terms, and handle correspondence with clients and subcontractors.
  • Obtain supplier quotations, manage procurement, and oversee cost control.
  • Plan and track project schedules, timelines, and material deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with the NCC and other Australian building standards.
  • Participate in meetings, project planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support internal administration and company system development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in civil or building construction projects.
  • Knowledge of NCC and Australian construction regulations.
  • Experience in contract administration and technical coordination.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general project management tools.
  • Ability to work independently and within a small, fast-paced team environment.
