TfA's head office is located in Brisbane with branches in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth, and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Undergraduate or Graduate Mechanical Engineer to join our team at our Sydney office in Mascot. Collaborating with our multi-disciplinary team of engineers, town planners, architects, designers, and project managers, you'll gain invaluable exposure to the entire project life-cycle.

The Role:

  • Project Engineering functions such as the preparation of project documentation including tender documents, project specifications, scope of works documents and design drawing packages
  • Performing and documenting engineering calculations such as hydraulic modelling, surge analysis, stress analysis, equipment sizing and datasheets
  • 2D drafting and 3D modelling including administration of piping and equipment specifications and overall project setup
  • Liaison with other discipline engineers to ensure that our designs are fully integrated and compliant with client and project specific requirements
  • Supporting Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Liaison and negotiation with clients, authorities, suppliers and sub-consultants as required

Skills & Experience:

  • Be in the final stages of a bachelor degree or have obtained a bachelor degree qualification in mechanical engineering (degree to be recognised by Engineers Australia) with a maximum of 3 years post graduate experience
  • Have excellent communication skills in English
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of technical aptitude and writing skills
  • Can work independently and in a team to learn from another perspective
  • Be able to demonstrate excellent work ethic with an attention to detail and desire to produce high quality deliverables
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident

Prior experience working in multi-disciplinary design and engineering consultancies or experience working within bulk fuel, bitumen and aviation storage facilities will be highly regarded.
