Screen Producers Australia are on the hunt for a proactive, detail-oriented coordinator to work with the Market Manager, to assist with SPA Connect at Australia's premier screen business and networking event SCREEN FOREVER.

This is not a marketing role.
SPA Connect operates as a buyer and seller marketplace - the event facilitates high-level industry deal-making by connecting producers with commissioners and ideas with investment. This is a 6 month contract role

If you are super organised, calm under pressure and a natural planner who thrives in a busy role, we want to meet you. To be successful in this role you need to have excellent communication skills, a professional approach & pride yourself on being able to prioritise, organise and manage competing tasks effectively and efficiently.

Ideally you have experience working in the film and television industry, conferences, festivals or major events and an interest in the Australian Screen industry is an absolute must.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • You will work directly with the Market Manager and across the small and nimble team who plan, build and execute a multi-day, multi-platform conference.
  • You are a proactive, friendly and discreet contact point for the international delegation, producers, sponsors, commissioners and other SPA Connect participants.
  • Support the Market Manager to deliver all aspects of SPA Connect and related industry events and initiatives.
  • Administration and co-ordination of all marketplace participants both locally and globally ensuring they have a positive experience.
  • Ensuring all producers and buyers are registered and prepared for the SPA Connect Market
  • Assisting in planning of meetings for both domestic and international producers and buyers
  • Preparing and publishing buyer profiles and other information to the event website.
  • Responding to any queries from SPA Connect participants and delegates.
  • Preparing schedules for SPA Connect participants to ensure all are aware of their timings for meetings
  • Being attentive to any changes in participants availability and ensuring this is communicated to the Market Manager
  • Liaising with SPA Connect partners and stakeholders as needed to collate any relevant content or media to be shown during the market including rresponsible for ensuring content is updated and accurate both pre and during conference
  • Being on the ground at Screen Forever on the Gold Coast and assisting with running SPA Connect
  • Assisting with other administrative duties as required

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and keep calm under pressure. Highly organised and detail oriented.
  • A natural team player. Willingness to support others and communicate effectively to ensure we achieve great things together.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and identify solutions to complex scheduling challenges.
  • Some experience using a Content Management System for web publishing.
  • Experience creating and administering Zoom meetings (or similar) for business.
  • Confident in sourcing, saving, and publishing large amounts of information and assets
  • Open to working extra hours in the lead up to Screen Forever as needed.
  • Must be available to travel to and work on the Gold Coast on 26th April until 30
