  • Manage the onboarding process, including preparing contracts and letters of offer, setting up new employees in the system, and handling terminations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records
  • Process weekly payroll and coordinate weekly tips distribution
  • Handle statutory reporting obligations, including superannuation, payroll tax, Single Touch Payroll (STP), WorkCover, and end-of-financial-year (EOFY) submissions
  • Manage and administer WorkCover claims in coordination with injured employees, insurers, and relevant stakeholders
  • Take full responsibility for the employee sponsorship process, including tracking visa conditions, preparing supporting documentation, and liaising with migration agents
  • Manage accounts and perform reconciliations for the dedicated payroll entity
  • Assist the Group Accountant with end-of-month processes and reporting
  • Provide leave coverage for other members of the finance team as required
  • Liaise with internal teams, external auditors, and government bodies as required
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve payroll systems and streamline administrative processes

What You'll Bring:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar payroll role
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian payroll legislation and compliance obligations
  • Proficiency in payroll systems (Tanda experience highly regarded)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Ability to work independently and take full ownership of payroll operations
  • Strong communication and time management skills
  • Experience in preparing payroll journals and performing account reconciliations
  • Immediate availability preferred

Why Join Us?

  • Supportive, down-to-earth team environment
  • Flexible work arrangements
