Where the team fits in
This role sits within the Finance and Business Services Group, headed up by our Chief Financial Officer. This cross-functional group plays an integral role within our Residential, New Homes, Media & Commercial related services, Financial Services and Consumer & Brand teams, as well as providing support to all other functional areas of the business around the globe.
What the role is all about
The Senior Commercial Analyst will be a key business partner, supporting the business to maximise financial outcomes, supported by analysis and insights.
- Support detailed analysis of monthly revenue, cost results along with balance sheet management identifying key insights and trends;
- Influence full P&L models, ensuring drivers are owned with the business;
- Support forecast & budget processes, working closely with Leadership teams, and aligning with established timelines and policies to ensure consistency;
- Drive the financial performance through KPIs, ad hoc financial analysis, insights & recommendations;
- Support the uplift and integration of core reporting deliverables, ensuring consistency and conformance to Group policies and timelines;
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis, insights and scenarios on key financial drivers and market / customer movements;
- Model new initiatives and work with the business to deliver financially viable strategies on new business models;
- Drive continuous improvement in operating processes to promote fit-for-purpose reporting, system and operational efficiency;
- Ensure relevant SOX compliance requirements are met
Who we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional experience
- CA qualified
- Analysis, modelling, budgeting and forecasting experience
- Advanced excel skills
- Strong initiative; willingness to take ownership
- Excellent analytical capabilities, numeracy skills and accountability
- Looks at tricky situations through a solutions-focused lens
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and stakeholder management
