We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance & Project Manager who is eager to be part of this South Australian success story, located in Murray Bridge.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join the senior leadership team at Big River Pork where you will lead our maintenance services team to ensure our operations run safely, efficiently and reliably.  This position is responsible for enhancing service quality and equipment reliability by improving workflows and optimising maintenance processes. Coordination of major maintenance and projects, contracts, shutdown coordination and water operations are all part of the role, enabling sustained high performance and continuous improvement is this area.

About the role

This role is critical in connecting on site operations with external maintenance organisations, helping minimise downtime and failure rates and maximise equipment productivity. This position is well suited to a flexible, energetic and ambitious person who is interested in innovation and the desire to further develop their engineering and project management career. Your demonstrated experience in leading multidisciplinary teams in a complex operational environment will contribute to your success in this role.

As Maintenance & Project Manager, you will:

  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards
  • Coordinating and supervising a team of skilled maintenance technicians to deliver preventive and corrective maintenance services
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure maintenance activities and projects are aligned with overall business objectives
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the reliability, safety and sustainability of production processes
  • Maintaining accurate records, budgets and reporting on maintenance activities and project progress

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience (3+ years) in a senior maintenance or project management role, preferably within a primary production environment but open to considering manufacturing industry sectors.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of teams
  • Focus on safety leadership, continuous improvement, inclusion and risk management
  • Tertiary qualifications in an engineering discipline (mechanical preferred)
  • Proven project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute complex project plans
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical and decision-making capabilities, and technical skills
  • Capability in commercial, budget/construction metrics and change management
  • Oversee the Maintenance Department and work in conjunction with the Maintenance Supervisor on daily activities.

This role is being offered as Senior Leadership Role, "Permanent Full-time position" and remuneration will reflect the applicants experience, skills and knowledge. As part of this role, interstate and overseas travel may be required on a limited basis.
