The Opportunity

You are an experienced Receptionist/Medical Secretary looking for that ideal secure role working in surgery practice with a strong focus on patient care and service.

  • Visionare Eye Specialists clinic, located at 401 Milton Rd, Auchenflower, Brisbane QLD.
  • Work 4-5 days per week

The Practice

Our practice is a new State of the Art facility. The practice consists of a Principal Ophthalmic surgeon, administration and clinical staff. The practice encompasses services in Cataract, Cornea, Anterior Segment & Glaucoma Surgery.

The Practice Management Software is Xestro and it is a paperless environment so haveing experience with this software would be helpful.

Previous Experience:

  • Must have recent experience working with Medical Specialists
  • Experience with Medicare, DVA and Private Health
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with ability to multitask
  • Must be able to think outside the square and use initiative
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Provide exceptional patient care.
  • Excellent IT and computer skills.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting and greeting patients in a professional and courteous manner
  • Ensuring medical records are managed confidentially and efficiently
  • Invoicing and receipting of patient consultations
  • Provide outstanding customer service both on the telephone and in person
  • Efficient management of all patient data, clinical files and correspondence
  • Schedule and management appointments for both doctors and clinical staff
  • Co-ordinate referrals, test results and reports
  • Patient invoicing and receipting (Medicare, DVA, private billing) and end of day reconciliations
  • Faxing, scanning, filing, and mailing documentation

This position requires our Medical Secretary/Receptionist to join us in either a part time or full time role as soon as possible.
