Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role located in Auchenflower, QLD for a Pathology Specimen Collector. The day-to-day tasks include collecting and labeling samples, preparing specimens for transport, following strict protocols to ensure sample integrity, and maintaining accurate records. The role requires direct interaction with patients to collect samples in a professional and compassionate manner. Ensuring hygiene and safety standards are consistently met is also a critical part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in specimen collection and labelling protocols
• Proficient in preparing specimens for transport and maintaining sample integrity
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for patient interaction
• Ability to follow strict hygiene and safety procedures
• Previous experience in a medical or scientific environment is an advantage
• Relevant certification or training in phlebotomy or specimen collection is preferred
• Basic computer skills for data entry
