IT System Administrator – 6-Month FTC (Possible Extension)

You will never be bored or short of things to do as a System Administrator with NGM Group. Our team is in the midst of strategic programs, significant Initiatives, and major infrastructure projects to improve the customer experience and keep their data secure.
We are looking for system administrators to join our skilled and professional Operational Support Team – a team that is delivering award winning banking services to more than half a million Australians. The role provides support for a range of Applications, Servers, and associated Infrastructure to the required business standards for system Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability and Compliance.
What will your key responsibilities include?
- Support and maintain a portfolio of on-prem and cloud-based servers, applications and infrastructure.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting for Windows, Linux and cloud systems to meet service levels for confidentiality, integrity, availability and compliance.
- Manage Incident, Service and Change requests in line with ITIL processes.
- Assist with asset management, monitoring and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with Senior System Administrators and the IT Systems Team Leader to deliver consistent IT services across the bank.
- Maintain systems to agreed cyber-security standards and contribute to audit and compliance activities.
- Prepare and maintain policies, procedures and documentation.

- Strong experience of IT systems and management tools and techniques and why they are important in a 24x7 business environment.
- Practical experience in IT service delivery (ITIL) in a corporate environment.
- Experience in Microsoft Windows Server and/or Linux System Administration.
- Exposure to or knowledge of Cloud Based Systems and methodologies such as MS Azure.
- Familiarity with IT Infrastructure elements including Network, SAN, Backup, and security systems.
- Demonstrable ability to identify, analyse and solve problems on your own, or as part of a cross functional team.
- Ability to work in a structured and regulated IT environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.
