Senior Project Manager – Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind & BESS)

Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane (East Coast)

Join a Tier 1 renewable energy developer delivering some of Australia's most exciting utility-scale solar PV, wind and battery storage (BESS) projects. We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to take projects from pre-construction through to operations, leading subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and stakeholder engagement.

This role offers the chance to shape Australia's energy transition — managing grid-connected projects, engaging with AEMO, and delivering complex power systems infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery across solar, wind, hybrid and BESS projects
  • Manage subcontractors, contracts, budgets and project teams from early works through to operations
  • Oversee grid connection milestones, working closely with AEMO, NSPs, consultants and internal engineers
  • Ensure compliance with WHS, environmental and quality standards across all project phases
  • Represent the business with key stakeholders including regulators, landowners, and government agencies

About You:

  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Civil, or related discipline) strongly preferred
  • 10+ years' experience in project delivery across renewable energy, transmission/distribution, or large infrastructure
  • Proven background managing contractors and multidisciplinary teams
  • Knowledge of grid connection, GPS requirements, solar/BESS projects - huge advantage
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
