Universal Marble & Granite are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CNC / Waterjet Operator to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with advanced technology and premium materials in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC and/or Waterjet cutting machines for stone fabrication
  • Interpret technical drawings and job specifications accurately
  • Program machines using relevant software
  • Set up and load stone slabs for precise cutting (vacuum lifters, overhead crane)
  • Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure quality and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience operating CNC and Waterjet machines in the stone industry or similar
  • Stonemasonry background or trade qualification preferred
  • Strong understanding of stone materials such as marble, granite, quartz, porcelain, and sintered stone
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and CAD files
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality craftsmanship
  • Forklift license (preferred but not essential)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
