About the role

Canberra Painting Service, a leading painting contractor in the Canberra region, is seeking a skilled and experienced Painter to join our team. As a Painter, you will be responsible for providing high-quality painting services to residential and commercial clients throughout the Canberra ACT 2600 area. This is a full-time position with excellent opportunities for career development and growth.

What you'll be doing

  1. Preparing and painting interior and exterior surfaces using a variety of techniques and equipment
  2. Ensuring a clean and safe work environment by following all relevant health and safety protocols
  3. Providing a high level of customer service and communication with clients
  4. Accurately documenting job progress and completing necessary paperwork
  5. Collaborating with the team to deliver projects on time and within budget
  6. Maintaining and caring for painting equipment and tools

What we're looking for

  1. Proven experience as a Painter, preferably in a commercial or residential setting
  2. Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
  3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and work orders
  4. Good physical fitness and stamina to perform the physical demands of the role
  5. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  6. Effective communication and customer service skills
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  8. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
