Associate/Senior Associate

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Associate / Senior Associate years' PAE) to join our Real Estate & Construction practice group in Brisbane, on a permanent full-time basis.

Your role

Gadens is recognised as one of Australia's leading real estate law practices with particular expertise in acting for major property owners and developers in high value and strategic transactions and development projects. We offer our clients an integrated service through a consolidated practice comprising real estate, construction and planning capabilities, across residential, retail, commercial and industrial properties.

Our team covers the full spectrum of construction law so whether you have a desire to grow in the front end, back end or regulatory space, we can help you to grow your practice. You will work on a broad range of construction matters and transactions, with direct client contact.

The role would suit a motivated lawyer with construction expertise who is looking to continue to develop their skills under the guidance of experienced practitioners. You will work with our two Construction Partners, Jim Demack and Paul Calvert who specialise in all aspects of construction law including major engineering, construction and infrastructure projects.

We're ideally looking for an experienced lawyer (3-5+ years PAE) but please apply whatever your seniority if you would like to grow your career with us. We are also open to speaking to candidates who are seeking flexible or part time work arrangements.

About you

To be considered for this role, you will possess:

• demonstrated working experience as a construction lawyer
• ability to communicate effectively and professionally (written and verbal)
• exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build rapport with colleagues and stakeholders
• ability to work with and mentor junior lawyers and support staff to ensure quality output and effective matter management
• demonstrated ability to be curious about your client's industries and develop knowledge quickly
• demonstrated skillset to manage timeframes and proactively manage priorities within a team
• collaborative working style with a solutions-oriented mindset
