Overview*
An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Associate or Manager to join a high-performing Forensic Accounting team within a leading professional services firm. About The Role
As a Senior Associate or Manager in the Brisbane Forensic Accounting team, you will work on a broad range of forensic engagements with a primary focus on Dispute Advisory assignments. You will have the opportunity to develop your career while working with a motivated team on complex and interesting cases.

Recent Project Examples Include

  • Assessment of loss and damage for class action proceedings
  • Valuation of minority interest in large Queensland-based manufacturer for Shareholder Oppression proceedings
  • Assessment of economic loss in large insurance litigation claims
  • Complex valuations for family law and estate disputes
  • Dispute resolution for retail chain acquisition
  • Multi-year transaction review for misreporting and alleged fraud investigation

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice on diverse forensic engagements, including:
  • Business valuations
  • Commercial loss and damage claims
  • Insurance events
  • Accounting reviews and investigations
  • Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships
  • Provide trusted expert advice to clients
  • Conduct detailed review and analysis of business financial performance
  • Research and analyze business, industry and economic data
  • Participate in business development and practice management activities
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and training to team members

Required Skills And Experience

  • CA/CPA/CFA qualification
  • Significant forensic accounting experience, preferably in public practice
  • Experience preparing valuation reports and/or commercial loss and damage reports for disputes
  • Strong analytical skills with lateral and critical thinking capability
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
