The Opportunity

As an Associate or Senior Associate within the Commercial Property team, you will:

  • Act on a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions and disposals, leasing, property development, and general advisory work.
  • Draft, negotiate, and review complex commercial contracts and property documentation.
  • Work closely with experienced partners and senior practitioners on both major transactions and mid-sized projects.
  • Manage files autonomously while contributing to the team's commercial strategy and client service delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with a diverse and loyal client base, including developers, investors, landlords, tenants, SMEs, and corporate clients.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the Queensland and national property practice.

For Senior Associate candidates, there is a clear Partner Pathway, including structured development, mentoring, and the opportunity to progress to partnership in the future.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • 3–8+ years PAE
    in commercial property law (or a related transactional practice).
  • Strong technical capability across property transactions, leasing, due diligence, and contract drafting.
  • Proven experience running files, managing client relationships, and delivering clear commercial advice.
  • A commercial mindset and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • High professional standards and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
  • Ambition to grow into a leadership role (particularly for Senior Associate candidates interested in the Partner Pathway).
  • Australian work rights are required for this position.
