We're looking for a Technical Training Specialist to design, implement and manage training programs that strengthen workforce capability, uphold our product quality, and ensure compliance across our manufacturing and distribution operations.
This role plays a key part in accelerating onboarding, preserving technical knowledge, and driving continuous improvement throughout our operations.
Initially offered as an 18-month fixed term contract, this position provides an exciting opportunity to make a lasting impact on how we build capability across our teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver a training strategy aligned with business and operational goals.
- Lead and coach a team of trainers and coordinators to ensure effective and consistent training delivery.
- Oversee the design and standardisation of training materials – including manuals, job aids, and digital learning content.
- Ensure all programs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready training records.
- Partner with production leaders to identify skill gaps and develop targeted training solutions.
- Build workforce flexibility through cross-training and capability frameworks.
- Embed lean principles and standard work practices into training programs.
- Use data, feedback and performance metrics to continuously improve training effectiveness.
To be successful in this role:You're an experienced training professional with a passion for building capability and supporting operational excellence. You enjoy being hands-on in the workplace and thrive on working collaboratively with leaders and teams to lift performance and maintain quality.
You'll also bring:
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment (or equivalent).
- Experience in manufacturing, production or distribution environments (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of WHS, quality systems and lean methodologies.
- Proven experience designing, delivering and evaluating technical or operational training.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
