We are seeking a Senior Proposal Specialist for Yokogawa's high-performing team based in our Sydney Head Office. In this key role, you'll be responsible for managing and producing high-quality technical and commercial proposals that support our solutions across energy, mining, water, renewables, and more. You'll work closely with internal teams, partners, and clients to design winning proposals that reflect the best of Yokogawa and industry best practices.

What you'll do:

  • Take a leading role in developing high-quality, accurate, prompt, and engaging proposals.
  • Collaborate with the Sales, Engineering, and Project Delivery teams to prepare cost estimates and obtain third-party or supplier quotes.
  • Ensure that proposals clearly articulate technical solutions, scopes, values, and compliance with customer requirements.
  • Present proposals and technical content to internal stakeholders and customers with clarity and confidence.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer needs.
  • Design and improve tools and systems to streamline the proposal development process.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to enhancing technical capabilities across the team.
  • Represent Yokogawa's values through a focus on customers, innovation, and collaboration.

What you'll bring:

  • Degree-qualified in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in engineering, estimating or proposals—ideally within the industrial automation sector.
  • A solid understanding of control systems and industrial automation, including DCS, Safety Systems, SCADA, PLC, IIoT Devices and cloud solutions and MES solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—confident in presenting technical solutions persuasively.
  • A collaborative approach to teamwork with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver results in a dynamic and multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and multitasking capabilities, able to handle and maintain multiple projects at different stages.
