Network Security Engineer/Specialist

An exciting opportunity to work within a large, sought-after telecommunications organisation, with a high rate and long contract length

Your Role:

As the Network Security Specialist, you will join our cybersecurity team with expertise in Fortinet Network Detection and Response (NDR), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), and enterprise networking.

Your role will involve designing, implementing, and managing advanced security solutions to protect critical infrastructure and data assets.

Your Duties and Background:

  • You will lead the design, deployment, configuration, and management of Fortinet NDR solutions
  • You will administer and optimise Cisco ISE
  • You will design and maintain secure network architectures, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, VPNs
  • You will develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and documentation
  • You will monitor security systems and logs to identify and respond to potential threats

Your Desirable Criteria:

Ideal experience and qualities within-

  • Relevant qualifications in Computer Science, Information Security, or related
  • 7+ years of experience in cybersecurity, at least 3 years in a senior role
  • Experience with Fortinet NDR and Cisco ISE
  • Hands-on experience with firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, and endpoint protection
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)
  • Relevant certifications such as Fortinet NSE, Cisco CCNP Security, CISSP, or CEH desirable
