Development Technical Officer

About This Opportunity
As a Development Technical Officer, you will:

• Provide accurate, timely advice and support to the development industry, community members, and internal stakeholders in various aspects of Development Planning and Engineering Program operations.
• Manage the survey plan endorsement process to ensure compliance and accuracy.
• Assist with aspects of infrastructure charging and debt recovery efforts.
• Contribute to a culture that values teamwork, workplace health, safety, and wellbeing.

We Are Seeking Someone Who Brings

• Experience in local government or the development industry, particularly in planning, surveying, plumbing, or legal environments.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
• The ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.

Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills

• QLD C Class Drivers Licence.
• Knowledge of Queensland Planning legislation.
• Experience in local government, development industry fields including planning and development process, plumbing, surveying and legal environment is desirable.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, including conflict resolution.
