Off The Boat Pizzeria is seeking a highly experienced and qualified chef with proven experience in a wide range of Italian cuisine.

Job Descripton

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • preparing, cooking and serving a wide variety of dishes according with the restaurant menu's recipe and personal judgement using the kitchen in collaboration with owner and other professionals.

-planning menu, estimating food and labour costs, ordering food supplies

-Responsible for monitoring food stocks and place orders.

-Responsible to maintain the kitchen as a safe environment and with high level of cleanliness.

-working in pan grill and other hot and cold kitchen sections

-monitoring and controlling food wastage and portion control on daily basis.

-make sure that there is sufficient staff to ensure that food is provided to customers in a timely manner.

-supervise and coordinate work of other staff members and train them to prepare food and high standard,

-introduce other staff members to new cooking techniques

  • monitor client satisfaction related to quality of food.

-quality control or raw and cooked dishes to ensure that proper standards are met.

  • determine how food should be presented.

Requirements

To be considered for this highly challenging role we are looking for candidates that can illustrate a number of the following attributes:

  • Australian qualification or overseas equivalent as a chef

-Minimum of two year's experience in Italian Cuisine

-Ability to work as part of a team.

  • Ability to lead staff.

-Ability to train staff

-Commitment to high standards of food products

-Honesty and integrity
