Where you'll be working

Join a dynamic and supportive team at the forefront of mental health innovation. You'll be part of a new initiative delivered in partnership with HNELHD, HNECCPHN, and the Ministry of Health. This newly established role offers a unique opportunity to shape a project from the ground up, working alongside mental health leaders from the Suicide Prevention and System Improvement team and the Community Partnerships team.

What you'll be doing

In this role, you'll combine your clinical expertise with project-based responsibilities. Your work will include:

  • Providing clinical input and guidance to ensure project initiatives are evidence-based and effective.
  • Engaging with stakeholders and community partners to build strong, collaborative relationships.
  • Contributing to innovative solutions for challenges that arise in the rollout of a new service/project.
  • Participating in ongoing learning opportunities related to project planning, community engagement, and stakeholder management.

About you

You are a motivated and adaptable mental health professional who thrives in new environments. You are comfortable navigating the challenges and opportunities of launching a brand-new project or service. You have excellent communication skills and can engage effectively with a wide range of people and organisations. Creativity, problem-solving, and a proactive approach are key attributes for success in this position.This role involves some travel, allowing you to engage directly with community partners and stakeholders across the region.

Requirements

  • Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Counsellor (Degree in Bachelor of Health Science Mental Health, Djirruwang Program) which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Eligibility to drive in NSW and willingness to travel for work purposes which may involve driving long distances.
