Nathan Contractors is a civil engineering contractor, delivering specialised services in Australia's infrastructure market. Nathan delivers works for Energy, Bridge and Roads, Dams, Water and Mining infrastructure projects with a focus on concrete section of Projects. We work anywhere from northern QLD to Victoria.

The Position

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating and delivering civil and infrastructure projects across Queensland and regional Australia. Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with Site Engineers and Site Supervisors, you'll provide technical leadership, ensure projects run efficiently and uphold the highest standards of quality and safety. This role will require regular travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of temporary works, formwork, reinforcement and concrete pours.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Provide technical guidance and engineering support to site teams and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with clients, consultants and project stakeholders to resolve technical and operational challenges.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation and efficiency across all project activities.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with 3-5 years' experience.
  • Experience in the civil construction industry, preferably in detailed concrete and civil works.
  • Have budget and financial management skills.
  • Contract Administration / Claims and Variation experience.
  • Construction programming and progress tracking experience.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
