This is your opportunity to lead the launch and ongoing operations of a newly established Occupational Health division—shaping strategy, building a high-performing team, and delivering services that make a real impact on Australian businesses.
About the Role As Operations Manager – Occupational Health, you'll take ownership of the end-to-end operational delivery of this new service line. You'll play a strategic and hands-on role in designing service models, managing teams, driving quality and compliance, and partnering with clients to meet their occupational health needs.
This is a rare opportunity to help build a new division from scratch—with the backing and resources of one of the country's most respected healthcare groups.
Key Responsibilities Strategic & Operational Leadership
- Design and implement scalable service delivery models, workflows, and SOPs.
- Develop budgets and manage resources in line with business objectives.
- Drive strategic planning and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Team Building & People Management
- Recruit, onboard, and lead a multidisciplinary team (nurses, doctors, admin).
- Promote a culture of collaboration, clinical excellence, and accountability.
- Lead performance reviews, training, and team development.
Client & Stakeholder Engagement
- Be the key liaison for corporate clients—building long-term relationships.
- Collaborate on tailored health programs and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support business development initiatives with the commercial team.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure services align with all relevant workplace health & safety legislation.
- Lead quality assurance processes, reporting, and data governance.
- Monitor service KPIs and ensure client and patient confidentiality.
Systems & Process Optimisation
- Implement systems for scheduling, billing, reporting, and case management.
- Leverage technology to streamline operations and improve client experience.
What We're Looking For Experience & Expertise
- 5+ years in operational or business management (preferably in healthcare or professional services).
- Proven leadership experience managing clinical or multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of the occupational health space in Australia.
- Financial acumen, including budget management and cost optimisation.
- Experience in launching or scaling new business units is highly valued.
Education
- Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred.
