About the Role

LBH Projects is seeking an experienced and reliable Blaster Painter to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will carry out surface preparation and protective coating application on a variety of marine, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform abrasive blasting and surface preparation using various media and techniques (e.g., garnet, sponge jet, UHP water blasting).
  • Apply industrial coatings such as epoxy, polyurethane, zinc, and other systems using airless and conventional spray equipment.
  • Follow detailed paint specifications and quality standards as per client and project requirements.
  • Carry out basic maintenance of blasting and painting equipment.
  • Work from heights, scaffolding, and confined spaces, adhering strictly to safety procedures.
  • Complete pre-starts, job hazard analysis, and relevant paperwork daily.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth project execution.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in industrial or marine blasting and painting.
  • Knowledge of coating systems and surface preparation standards (e.g., SSPC, NACE).
  • Ability to interpret technical specifications and data sheets.
  • High regard for workplace health and safety practices.
  • White Card (Construction Induction).
  • Confined Space and Working at Heights tickets (preferred).
  • VOCs or certifications in abrasive blasting and industrial spray painting (desirable).

Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Apprenticeship

Pay: $33.00 – $50.00 per hour
