As a Director of Cyber Delivery & Transformation, an essential position for cybersecurity strategy implementation at Optus. Lead the full delivery of projects and initiatives, connecting strategic goals to practical actions.

What You'll Do | Your day to day will consist of

  • Provide strategic direction and prioritisation across projects to optimise delivery capacity.
  • Coordinate the planning, coordination, and execution of programs/projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Lead and manage a team of Delivery Leads, Senior PMs, PMs, and/or Program Managers, encouraging their growth and development through training, feedback, and career opportunities.
  • Establish guardrails and frameworks to enforce delivery standards for cyber-led and BU-led projects.
  • Drive the implementation of systems and technologies to improve security posture.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams ensuring integration of cybersecurity solutions across business units.
  • Formulate and supervise the budget for cybersecurity projects, ensuring optimal resource management and compliance with financial boundaries.

What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field with cyber security certifications preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in project or delivery management with at least 5+ years in cybersecurity roles.
  • Proven experience in leading the delivery of cybersecurity programs in complex environments.
  • Strong project management skills with an understanding of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication capabilities in managing diverse teams and effectively communicating with interested parties and executives.
  • Experience with implementation of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and/or Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems.
