As a Cyber Delivery Lead and play a crucial part in delivering our cybersecurity strategy at Optus. This role connects strategic vision with practical program implementation, guaranteeing smooth execution of cyber security projects.

What You'll Do | Your day to day will consist of

  • Project Planning & Implementation: Strategise, guide, and coordinate all aspects of designated cyber initiatives and projects, ensuring compliance with established timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Governance & Reporting: Prepare delivery status updates, RAID logs, and health dashboards for Cyber LT Board, Portfolio Steering Committee, and related forums.
  • Dependency & Risk Management: Recognise cross-program dependencies, handle risks and issues, and apply proactive mitigation and customer concern processes.
  • Scope & Change Control: Manage project baselines and coordinate change control processes across cyber initiatives to maintain delivery integrity.
  • Collaborator Engagement: Collaborate with business units, technology, and risk functions to align delivery outcomes with cyber objectives.
  • Vendor & Supplier Management: Coordinate vendor delivery to ensure contractual and technical deliverables are met.
  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement of delivery processes, templates, and metrics.
  • Primary Blocking Issue Contact: Serve as the main contact for blocking issues related to delivery risks, problems, and dependencies within assigned domains.

What You Bring | What makes you perfect for the role?

  • Qualifications: Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Business, IT, Engineering, or another aligned field.
  • 3+ years' experience in Cyber security within complex technology programs by multiple delivery partners.
  • 5-8 years' experience managing projects within the IT/Telecommunications or Financial Services sectors.
  • Proven delivery management skills across IAM, EDR, or cloud security programs.
  • Excellent communication and collaborator engagement skills.
